I live with chronic illness. Chronic illness is when a person has multiple diagnoses that add up to recurring illness, chronic fatigue, and chronic pain, but the symptoms don’t have an arching, umbrella label. I’ve been diagnosed with hypothyroidism, pseudotumor cerebri (IH), chronic migraine, and mental health conditions. Chronic illness is the cumulative.

I’ve seen all the doctors, I’ve had all the tests. Fortunately, there have been no indicators of a degenerative disease.

Health is the beginning of quality of life. My hope is that I will develop a wellness practice through which I don’t experience symptoms.

My word for 2026 is Wellness.
